Motanka - traditional Slavic magic doll connected with white magic, bringing love, fertility, brilliant sex, happiness, successfull familly life, health, money etc.
Motanka is made of old cloths without sewing. One is not supposed to use needles while making motanka. Motanka never has a face, but she can have a thread cross instead of the face.

Motanka can occur in various types and shapes. Below some of them.

BABA JAGA AND HECATE
Breaking the traditional image of Baba Jaga, I decided to make 3 pairs of breasts to her, to emphasis her connection with world of animals. It symbolizes feeding and protection, too. Three is also a number of Goddess.

RUSAŁKA (NIXIE)

Character from Polish and Slavic mythology. Young and beautiful goddess of forests, water reservoirs, fields and young rye. Rusałkas appear during the New Moon. They represent freedom, vitality, fun, erotism, sexual energy, joy, nature.
